This project involved the design of a contemporary summerhouse that extends the functionality of the existing home, creating dedicated spaces for leisure, wellness, and entertaining.
The brief included a full-size snooker room, a yoga studio, an entertainment space, an ancillary greenhouse, and the opportunity to explore the integration of an outdoor swimming pool.
Responding to the sloping site, the proposal replaces an existing storage shed with a pair of stone-built gabled forms connected by a contemporary glazed link. The layout creates a series of flexible, light-filled spaces that open onto a generous deck and terrace, strengthening the connection between the building and the garden.
A comprehensive landscape strategy complements the new pavilion, transforming the sloping site into usable terraces that enhance the relationship between the architecture and its natural setting.
