320_Newbuild Georgian Style Cottages

This site was a disused corner plot in Hope Valley, close by to two historic industrial sites; Brough Mill and Brough works. The site itself was occupied by two dilapidated stone buildings, the former Lord Nelson Public House which closed in 1851 and a line of terraced single storey buildings. With a mix of overgrown vegetation, hardstanding and remains of the previous structures the site was very much in need of enhancement.

Working closely with Heritage Consultants and the Planners we developed a proposal for 2no. 3 bedroom semi-detached houses with private south facing gardens and parking areas to the rear. The design maintains the relationship of scale and form to neighbouring properties and the primary materials of limestone and gritstone adhere to the Peak Park design guidance. The houses were granted planning permission in 2022 and are currently under construction.
