A property built in the Arts & Crafts style formerly occupied the site, but it had been extended in multiple areas and had lost much of its original character and quality. It was therefore decided to replace the building entirely in order to form a more cost effective and energy efficient dwelling. The design was informed by the original features of the former property that the clients enjoyed with modifications that elevate the aesthetics and functionality of the dwelling as a contemporary family home.
