101_Old School House Restoration and Remodelling

Situated within the Peak District National Park, the property was originally a Victorian school house and dates back to the 19th century. It was converted into a residential dwelling in the 90's and a second wing was built perpendicular to the original building. The property had three points of entry without a clear hierarchy or sequencing of spaces. The internal works to the property involved creating a bright and open kitchen at the heart of the property. Replacement dormers with sash windows maximise light into the bedrooms while also improving the overall appearance of the property externally. The existing landscape was modified to articulate the entrances, giving more prominence to the primary formal entrance.
