Mid Yell School
Shetland Isles
Role: Project Lead Architect
Lead architect for a £14m primary and secondary school on the island of Yell in the Shetland Isles. Led the design team through planning permission to construction.
Project status: Completed 2010
Knockdow Golf and Country Estate
Cowal, West Coast of Scotland
Feasibility study for the renovation of a Scottish Castle with the addition of a new hotel wing and golf complex, working closely with Historic Scotland in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National park.
Donald Trump Golf Development Masterplan
Menie Estate, Aberdeenshire
Role: Architect
Gained masterplan approval for this controversial development for Donald Trump. The project was developed by a team of four architects over the duration of a year encompassing a village of 500 domestic homes, 950 holiday apartments, 450 bed hotel and two championship golf courses. The development attracted much media speculation and political attention as the site encroached on a 'site of special scientific interest'.
Donald Trump Golf Course Maintenance Facility
Menie Estate, Aberdeenshire
Role: Project Lead Architect
Following masterplan approval GHA were asked to design and oversee the construction of the £1.2m Championship Golf Course Maintenance Facility.

St. Andrews Square office and retail development for Dutch bank ING
Edinburgh New Town
Planning permission gained for this £22m multi use development which is at the heart of the Edinburgh World Heritage site in the New Town. The proposals gained approval to demolish two grade 2 listed buildings and the restoration of a grade 1. The proposals were presented to approved by 'Architecture Design Scotland' (CABE) and Historic Scotland.

Royal Museum Refurbishment
Edinburgh
Gareth Hoskins largest project to date for the £34m refurbishment of this grade 1 listed museum. Involved in the design and detailing for the new basement entrance portals and basement entrance hall.

National Museum of Flight
East Fortune, North Berwick
Role: Architect Assistant
Job runner for this masterplan feasibility study at Britain's most intact 2nd world war base, which is now a Scheduled Historic Monument. Developed a 3 and 10yr plan to transform this museum into a national attraction which houses Scotland's only Concord.

Lumford Mill
Bakewell, Derbyshire
Role: Architects Assistant
Aided a design team at Building Design Partnership's Sheffield office to produce a feasibility study to redevelop the partially listed Lumford Mill into a business park.

Aberdeen Art Gallery
Aberdeen
Role: Architect
Produced the competition documents to win the architectural contract to oversee the renovation of Aberdeen Art Gallery. The competition image was then selected for display at Edinburgh's Royal Scottish Academy for the 2010 Annual Exhibition.
Sea City Museum
Southampton
Role: Architect
Produced the competition documents for this unsuccessful competition entry to convert Southampton's Civic Chambers into a new Titanic and Sea Museum.
Lews Castle and Museum nan Eilean
Stornoway, Isle of Lewis
Role: Architect
Produced the competition documents for this unsuccessful competition entry to renovate Lews Castle overlooking stornoway into an exclusive wedding venue and museum for the Outer Hebrides.
