Cooper Hall is based in the former Copacabana club in the Northern Quarter, and has been transformed into a large underground beer hall with a capacity for 300. The building, Sevendale House, was built as a textile warehouse for I.J. & G Cooper Ltd in 1903. Original features including glazed brick walls and large skylight windows have been uncovered in its restoration with the interiors completed with relaxed reclaimed furnishings.
Also an underground premises, Wood and Company is regarded as a "secret bar" with a small street-level frontage disguised as a goods entrance. The interiors have an understated charm, with exposed timber beams and a mixed palette of brick, dark timber cladding, leather and metal details.
