Peak Forest Reading Room

Darwent Architecture was approached by the Peak Forest Reading Room Committee to develop packages for the internal renovation of the Grade II Listed building, which has been used as a nursery.

The building has been experiencing damp issues which were manifesting in mould growth, plaster decay and poor air quality. As a listed building, the proposed renovation works required a Listed Building Consent application which involved the preparation of construction details, schedules and specifications which describe the works in depth.

In addition to the Listed Building Consent application, the practice's services included the tendering out the works and tender reporting.

Although Consent has been granted, the works have unfortunately been delayed due to funding.
