Change of use of ground floor from Sui Generis and B1 Office use to A3 Café / Bakery within the Old Market Place Conservation Area.

altrincham

completed: winter 2017

The new café / bakery is ideally located among a terrace of shops, cafés and bars in the Altrincham Historic Market Quarter. The 231 sqm site comprises a double unit which had previously been used as a public exhibition space with partitioned offices towards the rear.

The ground floor has undergone structural remodelling and has become a café with an open kitchen at ground floor, and offices to the upper floors with a separate private entrance. Service spaces are located to the rear of the premises with new extract and ventilation equipment installed discretely to facilitate the new business. The unit frontage has been modernised with 'Blanchflower' in a bold coral over a sleek dark background. Other external modifications include the installation of retractable traditional canopies and external signage lighting.
