Building on previous partnerships at the Blanchflower Sale and Altrincham locations, Darwent Architecture was appointed to deliver a distinctive design that brings the character of an independent coffee shop and bakery into a large-scale retail environment.
Darwent Architecture coordinated the design to ensure full compliance with current Building Regulations and the Trafford Centre Design Guide. This included close liaison with the centre management and project stakeholders to align statutory requirements, fire strategy, accessibility, and servicing constraints with the overall design intent, ensuring a seamless integration within the wider Eastern Gardens development.
The final design focuses on high-quality materials and thoughtful detailing that reflect the ethos of the brand and the quality of its all-day food and coffee offering, all made in house. The result is a warm, welcoming space, with the authenticity and intimacy of an independent café.
