Biggin Hall Hotel- Grade 2* Listed

Darwent Architecture were appointed to create a masterplan overview of the workings of the hotel and assess how approach, circulation, dining and overall experience could be enhanced for the guests. This resulted in a wide reconfiguration of the circulation movement through the ground floor and a contemporary kitchen and dining extension. The materials of the new extension are a simple palette of zinc standing seam roofs, glass and natural gritstone. The contemporary form can never in future be confused as an original feature, which allows the new extensions to sit harmoniously against the original form and massing of the hotel.
